Fundraising Volunteer

About this Role

Researching and talking to prospective supporters to develop links with local organisations, understanding fundraising needs and aims to meet the group’s fundraising requirements and organizing, supporting a team of Events Volunteers and delivering fundraising events throughout the year.

Skills and Qualities

We're looking for someone with excellent communication skills in order to promote activities, great organisational skills and comfortable using email and internet. You'd be a valuable resource for our friendly team, so we're also looking for someone who enjoys thinking creatively and volunteering as part of a small team.

Practicalities

You will be volunteering at home and out and about in your local community - and ideally able to meet up with our volunteer planning group one evening a month. We are flexible about the hours and days you volunteer because we understand that you have other commitments! You will receive a welcome pack and volunteer induction, as well as regular support from your Group Coordinator and volunteer team. Out of pocket expenses can be claimed in line with our expenses policy. You must be over 18 years of age to volunteer in this role.

Volunteer Fundraiser

About this Role

Raising funds from the community can be very rewarding and enjoyable. Volunteer fundraisers will play a vital role in helping to ensure Matrix Neurological can continue to be there for families living with the effects of an acquired brain injury. Being a volunteer fundraiser can involve, dropping off/collecting donation tin, organising bucket collections, planning and organising fundraising events, identifying new ways of raising funds, organising tombola’s and raffles, attending and supporting our fundraising events.

Skills and Qualities

You will have good communication skills and have a professional, friendly and outgoing manner. Previous fundraising experience would be a bonus. Commitment to work to fundraising guidelines and policies is essential.

Practicalities

We are looking for volunteers who can give as much or as little time as you want to. An interview and references taken up as well as a DBS check and trial period. Travel expenses will be reimbursed. Mileage at 45p per mile plus any car parking charges.
